So, 2010 is officially halfway over. It’s been a wild year so far, from getting a grownup phone (and accompanying 2-year contract), quitting my job, going to Animazement 13 (and meeting some awesome new friends ♥), and forgetting what it’s like to be bored out your mind at home for the past 3 months. I’m ready to land a new job and take on the last 6 months. What about you?

I know I’m several days late, but Verizon Wireless has finally started pushing Android 2.1 with HTC Sense™ Over The Air (OTA) to anxious DROID Eris owners, such as myself. The update, which was announced back on May 7th, began going out at random on May 11th. According to countless tweets by @VZWSupport, everyone should get the update by May 24th. Unfortunately, I got tired of waiting and installed the update manually (Want to know how? Google it.) The process went smooth and my Eris works great. If you haven’t already gotten it OTA or installed a leak, be assured it is well worth the wait!

I’ve had my DROID ERIS for right at a month now, and in that time I’ve managed to almost completely forget about my trusty iPod touch. I tried using it to play a game of Tap Tap Revenge 3 (which now haz “Break Your Heart” by Taio Cruz, BTW,) and noticed it felt and looked weird. I also found myself trying to hit the back button, which doesn’t exist on the iPod touch. FFFFFF-
