This is a notice that two WordPress installations for friends have been removed due to inactivity and the need to free up resources. The two affected are wazu.bakalair & sessho.bakalair. Files and database tables have been lost. Any attempts to view these blogs should redirect you either to the bakalair homepage or a 404.

Hi everyone!
I would like to apologize for tonight’s unscheduled downtime. Between 6pm and 8pm Eastern tonight, services that required our mySQL database, such as the main bakalair site and the oekaki, were unavailable due to connection issues with the mySQL server. As of 10:20 pm, things appear to be working properly again.
The bakalair.mail service is undergoing maintenance at this time. Accounts will remain accessible during this maintenance, which will wrap up soon. You will see a noticeable reduction of spam mail ending up in your inbox at the conclusion of this activity.
bakalair apologizes for any inconvenience.

I just finished rolling out an update for bakalair.mobile, the lightweight version of the site for your favorite web-enabled mobile device. This latest version is powered by WPtouch, which looks great and loads fast on your iPhone, iPod touch, Android phone, or BlackBerry Storm. You can access bakalair.mobile now simply by visiting bakalair.com from your mobile device. If you don’t have a device listed above, fear not as bakalair.mobile should fall back on the previous version powered by WordPress Mobile Edition.

In other news, there was a brief maintenance window tonight to push out a new live search function, which displays search results as you type them. There was also some changes in back-end functionality, including a new caching feature for faster site loading.
