A few months back, I decided to try something new when Animazement rolled around: purchase a solar charger to try and keep my phone somewhat charged up with all the picture taking and video recording I was planning on doing. I know I’m several days late, but Verizon Wireless has finally started pushing Android 2.1 with HTC Sense™ Over The Air (OTA) to anxious DROID Eris owners, such as myself. The update, which was announced back on May 7th, began going out at random on May 11th. According to countless tweets by @VZWSupport, everyone should get the update by May 24th. Unfortunately, I got tired of waiting and installed the update manually (Want to know how? Google it.) The process went smooth and my Eris works great. If you haven’t already gotten it OTA or installed a leak, be assured it is well worth the wait!
